Total programme duration is 4 Years (ND + HND). Students also complete a 1-Year Industrial Training (IT) placement between the ND and HND stages, which is not counted toward the published programme duration. Applicants without JAMB may apply for the Pre-ND foundation programme, which prepares you to join the ND stage.

Overview

Supporting Recovery, One Cast at a Time

The Orthopaedic Cast programme trains students in the safe application and removal of plaster casts, splints and orthopaedic appliances used in fracture management and post-surgical care. Practical sessions in the plaster room build precision and patient-handling skills.

Clinical attachments in orthopaedic and trauma units give graduates direct experience supporting surgeons and nurses in fracture clinics and emergency departments.

Entry Requirements

  • WAEC/NECO with credits in English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry
  • JAMB UTME is required, with a minimum score of 100 - applicants without JAMB may apply for the Pre-ND programme
  • Minimum age of 16 years at time of admission
  • Pass an entrance examination and oral interview
